What was Home Depot's original slogan? ›

The Home Depot announced the new slogan "How Doers Get More Done" on December 5, 2019, replacing the previous slogan "More saving. More doing." which was introduced in the March 18, 2009, circular, replacing "You can do it. We can help." which had been used since 2003.

Doers have the mental ability not to make the same mistake over and over and Thinkers have the due diligence to deal with the failure of a theory. But the line that divides them can get blurry and both of them can have some part leader and some part curious, some part doer, some part thinker.

-Focus on Execution: Doers are pragmatic and action-oriented. Their primary aim is to get things done efficiently and effectively, focusing on the practical application of ideas and solutions. Outcome Oriented: While the process matters to Doers, they are more focused on achieving tangible results.

In 2011, the company adopted the slogan "Never Stop Improving"; this would be replaced with "Do it right for less. Start at Lowe's" in 2019, which was later replaced by "Home to Any Possibility" in 2021, and then "Lowe's knows home improvement." in 2023.

The effective doer is a believer - in themselves. They don't much care what others think of them. They are on a mission and know they can accomplish that mission. The effective doer is self-confident but never co*cky. He or she also competes with themselves, never other people.
